Date: September 17, 2025
Our team at The Sustainable Soil for Life Association (SSLA) hosted the Agroecology Caravan exchange study tour for farmers & minority Indigenous communities at the Ta Si Samaki Agricultural Community Farm in Thmar Kol District, Battambang.
Mr. Ung Vannet, Executive Director of the community, shared:
• The inspiring story of how the community grew through
solidarity.
• Techniques for growing and harvesting safe vegetables.
• Methods for managing net houses to improve yields.
With support from the Provincial Department of Agriculture Battambang, we’re working together to boost local food production, reduce imports, and strengthen community food security.
Farmers &minority Indigenous communities have learned inspiring stories of solidarity, practical skills in safe vegetable growing, and smart net-house management. Knowledge shared today helps communities grow healthier food and build sustainable livelihoods for tomorrow.
