Technical Support, Supplemental Training, and Coaching Activities on Livestock Farming
The technical team of the Sustainable Soil for Life Association (SSLA) conducted on-site technical support, supplemental training, and coaching for Por indigenous farmers in Phnom Rai Village, Ta Taok Commune, Samlout District, Battambang Province.
This activity focused on strengthening knowledge and skills in livestock farming, specifically poultry (chicken) and frog raising for 7 indigenous families, aiming to boost production capacity, enhance food security, and improve household income within the community.
During the coaching sessions, the team provided essential technical guidance, including habitat setup, feed selection, animal healthcare, and disease prevention methods, to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable farming practices.
This initiative aims to strengthen community livestock systems, mitigate risks of food insecurity and economic pressures, and enhance the resilience of farming households by promoting diversified farming and agroecological practices.
