On September 9-10, 2025, the Sustainable Land for Life Association (SSLA) organized a training and study tour program on “Agroecology and Climate Change” for 45 farmers from Kampong Thom, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, and Mondulkiri provinces. The program has the following main objectives:
– Increase awareness: Provide basic knowledge on “Agroecology Production Techniques and Climate Change” through training and study tours.
– Share experiences: Enable farmers to share their first-hand experiences on “Agroecology Production Techniques” with a focus on integrated farming, vegetable cultivation, climate change adaptation, and soil quality modification to ensure sustainable land use.
– Strengthen value chains: Share knowledge on group formation processes, business planning, income-expenditure management, and market research.
During the two-day program, all farmers learned the theory and practical application of agroecology, including the production of organic EM fruit fertilizers, FPJ pesticides, SBN liquid fertilizers, and Bocachi fertilizer compost. They also went on study tours to exchange experiences and learn how to apply them directly from farmers.
This program is very important in helping the farmers to improve the knowledge and techniques so that they can contribute to the sustainable development of Cambodia’s agricultural sector.
