Sustainable Soil For Life Association

  • A 23-year-old girl named Siengly was born in Preah Vihear Province and came from a very poor family in a rural area. She is one of seven children and the third girl in her family. Luckily, she could join the Enfants du Mékong to study in high school.  She tried so hard until she could receive a scholarship to study agroecology at SSLA from 2018 to 2020 after receiving her diploma in 2017. She recently started studying for a bachelor’s degree in agriculture at UME. She is currently the project coordinator for a TVET project on agroecology and food processing, where she works with farmers and young people. She struggles in real life since she works far from home and must spend more money to travel back. She also provides for her family with up to 80% of her parent’s income. She enjoys watching football, playing volleyball, and caring for animals. She aspires to establish her own company and operate in the agricultural industry in the future.
