Srey La was the second daughter in her family, and she worked in Thailand to help support her family and herself while dealing with several challenges at home. She is a speechless person and tried hard to find work to do because was available to study in primary schooling due to poverty. She currently works at SSLA as the chef and housekeeper for the agroecology and food processing students. Her long-term ambition is to run a farm and grow vegetables in Battambang, Cambodia, where she was born and raised.
