Sustainable Soil for Life Association (SSLA) strives to ensure to empower rural people. However, we are limited in what we can accomplish on our own. By working together with important figures in agriculture both for farmers and students, we can increase the impact of SSLA by pooling resources, fostering development by facilitating linkages and promoting innovation by transferring ideas from the research facility to the field. Only by working together will SSLA be able to empower Cambodians, meet Sustainable Development Goals, and assure impact at scale. Sustainable Soil for Life Association (SSLA) works with poor vulnerable Cambodian people, youth, and communities in rural areas to bring about economic, social, and environmental change toward sustainability. SSLA supported farmer leaders in influencing village, commune, and district authorities. SSLA has strengthened farmers’ involvement in local democratic development processes and has led to more just and equitable sensitive and responsive local development plans, budgets, and services. Over 10 farmer leaders and representatives have demonstrated increased confidence, knowledge, and skills to exercise their rights, inclusive of the most vulnerable farmers.
